Valentine's Classroom Party Ideas: Bingo, Cards and Kind Notes

Printable Valentine favor tags and photo booth cutouts on a cream background

A Valentine's classroom party can fit into one short afternoon. Pick one shared game, leave time for a card exchange and end with a kind note. These ideas work for a teacher or class parent planning a school celebration, with a few options for a gathering at home too.

Start with the teacher's plan

Before printing anything, confirm the time slot, class size and school rules. Ask whether cards need a To line or only a From line. Check what supplies the classroom already has. Follow the teacher's guidance on snacks, gifts and photos.

Keep the celebration about friendship. Make sure every child has a card to give and one to receive. Have a few spare blank cards ready for anyone who forgets theirs. A child who wants a quiet activity can draw or write a note instead of joining a game.

For a celebration at home, our holiday hosting planning guide helps you work backward from the gathering. Use the parts about the room, table and day-before setup.

A simple 30-minute party plan

Adjust this to the class routine. Leave time for help with reading or cutting.

If the class has less time, choose the game or the exchange. The activity works without prizes or snacks.

Picture bingo for early readers

Picture bingo lets children look for a matching symbol while the caller shows a tile. Demonstrate one turn before starting. Use paper markers and keep the caller tile visible long enough for everyone to find it. Pause between calls rather than racing to a winner.

Our Valentine's Classroom Picture Bingo is planned for the shop. The set has 40 different boards, caller tiles, markers and directions in US Letter and A4. It is not available to buy yet. Until it is listed, you can draw a small grid of heart and friendship symbols for your own group.

Ask an adult to help children check their boards. Start with one short round.

A card exchange that includes everyone

Ask children to bring enough cards for the whole class. If the teacher prefers unnamed cards, leave the To line blank and write only the giver's name. Set up one bag or folder per child before the party so the exchange has a clear route around the room.

Our Classroom Valentine Exchange Cards are planned for the shop. The printable set has 24 cards in six designs, To and From lines, cut guides and a low-ink version. Purchase links will be added once the set is live. You can also fold plain paper and let children draw their own friendship cards.

Cut materials ahead of time if scissors would slow down the party. Let children add their names and a small drawing during the activity.

Lunchbox notes for the rest of the week

A short note can carry the celebration beyond the party. Write something specific and easy to read: a thank-you for helping, a reminder of a shared joke or a wish for a good afternoon. Put it in a lunchbox or backpack when your child will find it.

Our Valentine's Lunchbox Note Cards are planned for the shop. The set includes 32 message cards, eight blank cards and low-ink sheets. There is no purchase link yet. A handwritten scrap of paper works while you wait, and the words can be as simple as “I liked our walk yesterday.”

Before you press Print

Count the children or guests, then add a few spare copies. Choose the paper size that matches your printer. Print one test page at actual size and check the cut guides before printing the full set. Read each listing to see exactly what is included.

Classroom bingo, exchange cards and lunchbox notes are planned additions. You can use this party plan with your own paper supplies in the meantime.
