Halloween Party Hosting Plan: Timeline and Printables
A good Halloween party is less about decorations and more about the parts guests don't see: a guest list, a food plan, and something to do once everyone's costume has been admired. Here's a simple timeline and two printables that keep the night organized.
Two weeks out: guest list, costume theme, food
Decide the headcount first. It drives everything else, from how much candy to buy to whether you need extra chairs. Pick a costume theme or leave it open, and send invites with the start and end time so the night doesn't run past when you want it to.

The fifteen pages cover the guest list, a food and drink plan, a shopping list, a decorating checklist and a night-of schedule, so the plan lives in one place instead of three different notes apps.
The week of: food prep and the room
Pick food that can sit out, since most guests graze instead of sitting down to eat. Set up the drinks station somewhere that is not the only path to the bathroom. Decorations can go up a day or two ahead, they do not need to wait for the day itself.
The night of: games to fill the lull
Costumes get admired in the first twenty minutes, then people need something to do. A simple game with a scorecard gives the group a shared activity without anyone needing to plan it on the spot.
Printable
Blank scorecards for card and trivia-style games, so you are not hunting for scratch paper once the group wants to keep score. Print a stack ahead of time and set them out with pens near the snacks.
How our printables work
Each listing is a PDF you download and print at home, sized for US Letter and A4. Nothing ships, so there is no delivery estimate to watch before the party.
